A sharp increase in the number of "subscribers" of the channel "ZatsepilO!" of propagandist Yevseyenko
In June 2020, Homel propagandist Aleksandr Yevseyenko created the channel «ZatsepilO!», where, of course, he began to promote the pro-government agenda. It was difficult to call this promotion successful, the channel had 500-530 subscribers, but in January 2021 it «exploded» from 500 to 17,300 subscribers just in two days.
Success? Hardly. After all, all these thousands of subscribers were just bots, and the rapid unsubscribes began immediately after the cheat, Flagshtok writes. Nevertheless, Yevseyenko’s efforts were noticed at the Administration of President, where he was awarded a diploma «for his responsible sense of duty and high civic position.»
Probably, his «high civic position» is expressed in the use of hate speech and the spread of Russian military propaganda. After all, that is exactly what he did after the war began. In his posts, Yevseyenko often uses the words «ukronazis,» «americosy,» and «gayrope.» And he is especially concerned about gay pride parades, to which he has already dedicated several dozen publications.
But the key point of this story is not the cheat or any insulting statements in his texts, but the fact that his example shows the complete absence of a request for propaganda, including about the war in Ukraine from the Russian perspective, among the residents of the regions. Look:

▪️ Only 14% of subscribers read posts;
▪️ Coverage of one publication is up to 120 views;
▪️ In total, only 12 new subscribers have been engaged since the beginning of the year.
«Such statistics of the «ZatsepilO!» telegram channel shows that this content today does not cause interest not only among Homel residents, but also among the entire Belarusian audience. Filling the channel with «dead souls» is only necessary to make an impression with seeming popularity and does not indicate the real demand for such information,» Flagshtok writes.
