Russia will supply weapons to Belarus, which it considers possible, «it is a common practice» to strengthen relations between the countries. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to Belarus in an interview to the channel Russia 24, TASS reports.
He noted that during the meeting of Sergei Shoigu, the Minister of Defense, with Aliaksandr Lukashenka the issue of arms supplies was discussed. He believes that this «should not cause any unexpected reaction from the West.»
«There’s nothing extraordinary about it. We will supply what we think is possible, it’s a common practice to strengthen our allied group and our western border,» he said.
The ambassador claims that the number of troops and weapons involved in the exercise «Union Resolve – 2022» does not exceed the limit set by the Vienna Document 2011.
