«They should understand that no helicopters or aircraft will save them if they escalate. Some time ago in St. Petersburg, we together with Putin announced that we would re-equip Belarusian Su-24 aircraft so that they could carry nuclear weapons. Do you think we’re just talking? Everything is ready!” he said.
We remind that for the first time he spoke about re-equipping Belarusian aircraft to carry nuclear weapons during a meeting with Putin in June of this year. However, at that time he asked to adapt Su-35 for this purpose, which is not in service in Belarus. In response, Putin said it would be possible to re-equip Su-25 attack aircraft for such purposes.
