Yesterday, November 28, the ambulance hospitalized Mariya to the first surgical unit, after which she was transferred to the intensive care unit.
Earlier it became known that Mariya was in a punishment cell. There was no information about since when and for how long she was placed there. The administration of the penal colony said nothing about the hospitalization.

«As Mariya’s family, we want and have the right to know the truth about her health, the reasons for her hospitalization and the conditions in the punishment cell, where she spent her last days,» Tattsiana Khomich, Mariya Kalesnikava’s sister, notes.
Political prisoner Mariya Kalesnikava was sentenced to 11 years in prison on charges of creating an «extremist formation,» public calls for damage to national security, and conspiracy to seize power by unconstitutional means.
14:30: Radio Svaboda reports that Mariya Kalesnikava is still in the intensive care unit of the Homel emergency hospital in serious condition, she has not been transferred to the surgical unit. It’s also known that she’s guarded by three people: two in the room and one with an assault riffle near the door.
15:28: Mariya’s father Aliaksandr is in the hospital in Homel. Father speaks with the doctors in the presence of officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The surgery was successful, Mariya is conscious, but still in a serious condition. According to preliminary information, Mariya has a perforated ulcer.
