Media: Belarusian MFA approves Gryzlov for Russian ambassador post

A new Russian ambassador to Belarus will be Boris Gryzlov, the former Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, replacing Yevgeny Lukyanov, Sputnik writes, citing its source.

It is reported that his candidacy for this position was approved by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Lukyanov was appointed ambassador in March 2021. Rumors of his recall appeared in December of last year.
