A Minsk resident was sentenced to 14 days of arrest for «distributing extremist materials.» The reason for his detention was the repost of Radio Svaboda’s post about the protests against the sentences of the participants in the «Tsikhanouski’s case» to the Instagram story on December 15.
The case was reviewed on January 12 in the Leninsky District Court. The man pleaded guilty and agreed that he knew about the recognition of the page of the publication as extremist.
Judge Anastasia Achalova found the Minsk resident guilty under Art. 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, unregistered human rights center «Viasna» reports.
