Philosopher Uladzimir Matskevich, who has been on hunger strike for 12 days, is not feeling well, is weak and has lost more than 7 kg in weight. Today he was examined by a prison doctor, but a doctor from outside the Ministry of Internal Affairs system was not allowed to see Matskevich.

The philosopher refused to meet with the prison psychologist, as he believes that his demands do not depend on it. Matskevich was denied access to pastor, according to a Facebook account dedicated to the philosopher.

Uladzimir Matskevich started a hunger strike on February 4. He refused to drink water since February 14 and went on a dry hunger strike. The philosopher demands to change his measure of restraint, complete the investigative actions, pass the case to the court and set a date for the trial.

Matskevich was detained in August, 2021. He was charged with organizing and preparing actions that grossly violate public order (part 1 of article 342 of the Criminal Code).
