Ukrainian border guards refuse to let J:MORS band into the country, they are currently waiting for a final decision on the border, Mediazona reports citing the manager of the music band Volha.

Tomorrow they have a concert scheduled at the art pub «Thorwald». This is their first performance in the Ukrainian capital. They were expected to come with a special program, which would include the most popular songs of the band as well as new ones. The organizers also mentioned some surprises.

«We’ve always had close friends in Kyiv, and now many of the people we used to see at our concerts back home have also moved here. Well… Mohammed is coming to the mountain. It will be a special concert for us,» the band’s frontman Vladimir Puhach commented on the forthcoming performance.

According to the manager, security officers at the border crossing point «Vistupovichy» said that the band had no grounds for entry into the country. No document has been given to the band yet.

«The hotline says that there are no grounds for refusal. But the border guards themselves won’t let us in. We’re trying to figure out who to call. So far it’s very confusing,» Volha said.

Updated. The musicians were refused to enter Ukraine.

On February 11, people began to report problems when entering Ukraine from third countries. Ukrainian border guards questioned citizens of Belarus, asking about the purpose of their arrival and acquaintances in Ukraine and did not allow them to enter the country. The State Border Committee of Belarus claims that the Ukrainian side did not notify the Belarusian citizens about the intensification of the border controls. Yesterday, Mikita Melkaziorau, the author of the YouTube channel «Zhizn-Malina,» also didn’t manage get into Ukraine. The refusal of entry was argued by the «lack of sufficient financial support for the period of planned stay» in the country.
