Several unrelated sources of motolko.help reported that the real cause of the malfunction of bank cards throughout Belarus is literally the flood in the server room of the Bank Processing Center (BPC).

It is known that the building on Miasnikova street, where the BPC servers are located, was flooded at around 6:00. Presumably, a pipeline burst there, which caused partial deenergization of the building and shutdown of air conditioners.

The overheated servers didn’t work long and after a while, at around 8:00, they completely shut down.

In addition, this can be confirmed with the information on 115.bel, which says that today there was an emergency shutdown of the hot water supply in the house No. 35 on Miasnikova street.
