The trial of Yahor Martsinovich, the editor-in-chief of Nasha Niva, and Andrei Skurko, the head of the advertising and marketing department, will start on 28 February at the Zavodskoy district court of Minsk. The cases will be considered by Judge Anzhela Kastsiukevich, as stated in the schedule of reviews on the website of the Supreme Court.
Martsinovich and Skurko are accused of causing property damage without signs of theft (part 2 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code). Earlier it was reported that the essence of the charges was that the payment for electricity in the editorial office was made at the rates for individuals and not for legal entities.
Martsinovich and Skurko were detained in July 2021. Both are in custody.
