Today, three news websites went down in Belarus. Two of them were blocked at the request of the Ministry of Information.
The website of the publication Novy Chas novychas.by went down in Belarus and abroad. This happened a week after the security forces came to the editorial office. Telegram channel of the publication reports that now they are available at the address novychas.online.
The website of the Deutsche Welle publication is also not available from Belarus. When you go to the site, a message appears about the blocking of the resource at the request of the Ministry of Information.
The website of the Current Time TV channel is also not available. On the website of the publication it is reported that the site can’t be opened with the provider ByFly and with users of the home Internet A1. When using the MTS mobile Internet, the site is downloaded.
At the same time, the sites of Deutsche Welle and Current Time are available from Belarus using VPN.
Updated. Euroradio reports that the Ministry of Information confirmed the blocking of all three websites. The reason for this was «the spread of hyperlinks to materials recognized as extremist».
