Russia’s Uralkali has no plans to acquire assets in Belarus, Dmitry Koniayev, the head of Uralhim Group, told Reuters.
«We are not considering the development of potash assets outside of Perm Krai. Our interests in potash are concentrated exclusively in this region,» Koniayev commented on the rumors about Uralkali’s intention to buy Belaruskali and Slavkali, which are under American sanctions.
Koniayev added that the management of Uralkali met with their Belarusian colleagues and said that if they receive purchase offers from the Belarusian side, the Russian company would not consider them.
